My hope is that the message within these pages will set my sisters free to love and serve our Savior the way the Father intended. In order to do that we have to overcome some mindsets that have long been taught to us. Though God requires it of us, the work of our hands and will (being a wife & mother, cleaning, cooking, managing, ministering) should not be a false god in our lives. God wants our hearts. He teaches and guides us into His best for us. On some days that may mean cleaning a commode but on other days it may mean going on a missions trip to China. It is different for each of us. I was so excited when I had the opportunity to review Pursuit of of Proverbs 31 through the CWA Review Crew. First, I a Type-A, try to do it all, perfectionist and I have always misunderstood Proverbs 31. Second, I LOVE AMY Bayliss! I have been following her blog for a while and use ALOT of her printables. If you have never visited her blog, take a second and go NOW! I’ll wait…
Allright, awesome huh? Now, to the book. If you are like me, you try to do it all and live a good christian life. How? I ask myself this same question every day. It’s hard to put that “to do” list aside and realize all those things we think we “have to do” are NOT always what God wants or needs us to do.
Amy breaks down the myths and facts of Proverbs 31 and guides you through an in-depth study. Read it through or Read/Study, it’s up to you. I read through and now I plan on taking my time while studying Proverbs 31 using Pursuit of Proverbs 31 as a guide.
Amy makes things easy to understand. But above that, she shows you how to put the Proverbs 31 characteristics in your life and in a workable way. She shows you how to put your priorities aside and put God’s first AND you have to realize there IS a difference and it is different for EVERYONE. One size DOES not fit all! (That realization alone requires a sigh of relief)
The only downside was that I had an e-book. This is a book I would love to have in print, to highlight, dog ear pages, etc. I have a feeling we are going to spend a lot of time together.
I have SO much more to learn but I’m thankful for this book, the CWA Review Crew, Amy Bayliss and first/foremost God for showing me WHAT I need to learn and how.

Most of all, I’m just me. I make mistakes (quite often). I don’t always get it right. Hopefully I learn my lesson the first time. If not, I have an awesome savior who doesn’t give up on me.
